Ephesians 5:25-27

²⁵ Husbands, love your wives, even as Christ loved the Church, and gave Himself for her;

²⁶ so that He might sanctify her and cleanse her by the washing of water through the word,

²⁷ So that He might make her a glorious Church to Himself, not having spot or wrinkle or any such thing. But that it should be holy and without blame.
